2nd ODI: India vs South Africa at Belfast
Jacques Kallis played a pivotal role in the first match, guiding South Africa to victory with both bat and ball. It was a captain's performance and one that South Africa should be able to take great heart from.
Both teams are struggling with the cold weather as the flu has gone through both squads. South African players Dale Steyn and Thandi Tshabalala came down with the illness as did S Sreesanth, Gautam Gambhir, Ajit Agarkar and MS Dhoni. Dhoni, Agarkar, Steyn and Tshabalala should be right to play if they are selected.
South African coach Mickey Arthur has expressed a desire to have both Steyn and Tshabalala in the side, "I really want to see Steyn and Tshabalala tomorrow. We need to go home with some answers. We need them bowling at the Tendulkars, the Dravids the Sourav Gangulys and Yuvraj Singhs."
India have their own problems to deal with. The flu has gone right through the squad leaving many players feeling unwell, their ability to train has also been hampered due to inclement weather. Sreesanth and Gambhir have been ruled out of today's game while a couple of other squad members fate remain unknown.
Should be a good game today. We saw a close, hard-fought match in the first game, this one should be no different as both sides seem to be evenly matched.
