2nd ODI: South Africa vs Pakistan at Durban
Pakistan were absolutely thrashed in the first game, giving up over 390 runs off just 50 overs. Their bowling was horrible and their batting wasn't much better albeit because the batters had to swing right from ball one. Mohammad Asif was the most economical pace bowler, giving up 6.77 runs per over while the others all struggled and were hammered to every corner of the ground.
Azhar Mahmood who hasn't played an ODI for two years comes into the squad, replacing Shabbir Ahmed who is injured again. Rao Iftikhar Ajum also comes into the squad and might get a game if the other fast bowlers keep bowling pies. Mahmood has been very good on the English county circuit and has also impressed in Pakistan's domestic league taking his team to the top of the Silver division which may earn them a promotion.
Herschelle Gibbs is back from suspension and will play in place of Loots Bosman who was less than impressive in the first game. But other than that, South Africa have nothing to worry about at all. The captain is back in form as are a few others and South Africa have hammered Pakistan in their last two meetings.
Can Pakistan fight back and level the series or will South Africa make it two wins and take a significant advantage?
