Re: 2nd Test: Sri Lanka v England at Colombo
Very true, that was the first time he has bowled in a test or an ODI. However, he has bowled twice in Twenty20 International games and has one wicket from a total of three overs bowled.
Silva could become a useful part-time bowler, perhaps an improved version of Russel Arnold.
Anyway, another draw to contend with, the rain ruining the rest of the game but more likely than not, the result would have been a draw regardless.
There's always the next game though and that starts on the 18th of December at Galle. Should be a great contest.

England was 250-3, good for a lead of 53 runs. Pietersen and Collingwood were putting together a decent enough partnership. It may have gone on for a bit. Mahela Jayawardene was man of the match. Chamara Silva came in and bowled 13 overs and got a wicket. I think that's the first time he ever bowled in either a test or an ODI. He wasn't too bad. Without Jayasuriya anymore, perhaps Silva will turn into a semi-regular bowler.
