5th ODI: Bangladesh v Zimbabwe

Bangladesh lead the series 4-0, with some pretty convincing wins in there. They're going for the clean sweep toady, while Zimbabwe is just trying to salvage some pride and take some heat off their backs.

A couple changes for each team, with folks like Mashud, Rafique, and Taylor getting the day off. Bad news for Zimbabwe, in that Bangladesh has chosen to leave their top 6 batsmen intact.

Zim have reached 66-1 after 19 overs. They're doing well to conserve wickets, but need to open up their batting soon. A 3.41 run rate will not cut it in an ODI.

Cleazer: is there any free online video of this match?

Zimbabwe 152-3 after 39 overs.

They've done a good job of not losing wickets, but they'll be luckly to get past 210 or 220.

daruchini didn't seem to work for the 3rd or 4th ODI's, but it's working fine today

Zimbabwe finish 193-8

Nowhere near as challenging a total as it looked like they might reach early on.

Since Bangladesh left their top 6 batsmen in for this last match, I think they'll easily finish off the sweep.

A great opening partnership again for Bangladesh.

Brent finally breaks it and gets Nafees for 33.

Mehrab has been scoring faster than Nafees today!

Bangladesh 86-1 after 19.1 overs.

That fine opening partnership took them almost halfway to the target. It was probably enough to get the job done, setting things up for the rest of the team.

Aftab comes in and hits a big 4 with his very first ball, and now he's out on the very next ball!

Ashraful and Mehrab have fallen now too.
Mehrab was finally out for 45, a great showing from him.

Gary Brent is on fire here, he's taken all four!

Terrible run out for Saqibul. He and Bashar took a fortunate situation and completely wasted it. They almost had a runout, but the ball missed the stumps and rolled away, so they got greedy and went for a second. That didn't work. Two run out chances on the same ball, and the second one worked.

Bangladesh 141-6 after 40, they need 53 from the last 10 overs.


Zimbabwe has a chance to steal one here, thanks mostly to Brent.

Horrible over from Chigumbura. He bowled three straight wides, and one of them was so high that it flew to the boudary over the wicketkeepers head. Twelve runs from that over.
