Back Problem

Dear all,

I am right arm fast bowler. For the few months, I have suffering from lower back pain and muscle stiffness of lower back muscle on the left side, and because of this am not able bend which is causing lot trouble mentally and physically.

Please suggest any remedies and exercises to relieve the muscle stiffness.

ive got this aswell, i reccomend doing bench presses atc and worknig on the core muscles

after that you need to check your action and change it so it dosent put stress on ur back.

The two common causes for this type of issue are overuse or [most common] a mixed action.

If you are going to work towards the plank test, you must not shift your weight as you lift a limb. For example, as you raise an arm, the trunk must remain solid and not move to one side. The idea is to have your core support you, not your extremities.

However, this is not something I would recommend you do if you are suffering from lower back issues. I would advise waiting until the pain has subsided.
