Bag of old balls

just because i want to do a chris martin.... does any one know where you can buy a bag of old cricket balls just 2 bowl with at stumps?

Re: Bag of old balls

E-bay is probably your best bet. However, I reckon they'll be hard to come by. Most clubs tend to keep theirs for net use and you don't often see them around.

Added 1 minute(s) and 39 second(s) later...

Don't buy the splay ones though, they're crap, even for just bowling at a stump.

Re: Bag of old balls

yeh they dont look good quality ones, gotta be aware of rock balls due to they can damage ur cricket bat

Re: Bag of old balls

my problem is them shitty hard balls swing alot more then good balls so if im aiming at a marker or a stump, i dont want to muck about with myself compensating for false swing.

Re: Bag of old balls

Then rough them up, use them on concrete to help take the shine away. Also, hold the ball across the seam rather than a traditional grip.

Re: Bag of old balls

I get the same problem, so tend to do one or the other. That's the problem, you need rubbish balls to practice with but they tend to have interesting effects!
