Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

I voted for New Zealand. They are real smokies for the world cup I feel when all fit and firing their bowling attack is as good as anyones going into the world cup.

Vettori is the most world class spin bowler that will be at the world cup, will be more dangerous then Murali.

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

Possibly - Pakistan
Realistically - Australia.

Pakistan on all cylinders firing would be one hell of a bowling attack. Unfortuantely, that rarely happens.

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

Australia, considering how good the back ups are too.
Along with the ones listed there is S Clark, Tait, Hilfenhaus, Harwood, Lewis, Gillespie, Bichel, Kasperowicz and plenty others

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

Btw, right now I'm tied between New Zealand and South Africa.

Bond, Vettori and 5 other quality bowlers or a blast of pace with Pollock, Hall, Van der Wath, Nel/Steyn and Kallis.

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

Yanks, if MLBers played cricket:

Santana
Martinez
Carpenter
Halladay
Oswalt

Hell, no team'd make 150 off these guys!

Wow, your ignorance never ceases to amaze me, timmyj51. Johan Santana plays for Venezuela, and Pedro Martinez is from the Dominican Republic.

Congratulations on actually naming three Americans in your post though.

Please, go find some other board to troll.
I'll suggest the mental retardation message board.

Umm...according to ICC regulations you qualify for a national team by
residing in that county 183 days for four years.

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

Players play county cricket in England.....they still play for their home country

and to play for the USA don’t you have to wait 7 years for citizenship or something……..isn’t that why the usa team is so old

That’s good.......so Timmy i can assume from your silence……….. from now on you'll only mention American baseballers and not baeballers from other countries

Like Pieterson (from South Africa) and Joyce (from Ireland), huh?

I guess ICC regulations are totally beyond your grasp. Anyone who's been in
the USA for 183 days for four conscutive years is eligible to play for the USA.
If you've played four straight seasons of MLB you're eligible. Kapish?

You don't get it do you? These players have ALREADY chosen to play for their home countries. How hard is that to figure out.

Not shut up and go away and don't come back until you've learned a little respect for the game of cricket. The very thought that baseball players could pick it up in a few weeks and be competitive at a World Cup level is both asinine and insulting.

Umm...last I heard Dominican Republic and Venezuela didn't have national
cricket teams.

Was always told cricket's a game that attracted the dreamy, romantic,
type.

Re: Best ODI bowling attack??

new zealand probably have the best mix as dey have pace spin and a little bit of medium pace at their disposal and south africa have a good pace attack but they have to find a spinner quik smart

Like Pietersen?.....are these baseballers feeling like they are not getting a fair go in their own country?

Like Joyce?...........they are also from non test countries .......so if they are going to be like Joyce they would play for England
