Broken Bat

The edge of my bat broke off during nets this evening, is there any way of fixing it or is it brown bread? it is in two bits on the table next me, will grab a photo in a little bit.

To be honest the bat has had it. If you haven't split to much wood off the edge you may be able to get the other side trimmed down and turned into a training bat.

i thought it might be, not looking to good at all.

what would i need to ask for? just for them to take the sides off or somethingf?

i repaired my newbery the other day, it had a split on one side which had exploded outwards on the edge. you could lift the outer layer away...... wood glue all the way down held in vice for two days.... now its solid as before and still plays well off that edge!

It is not so bad if the wood is still attached but it sounds like you did a pretty good job.

any one got any experience in shaving weight from bats? My mate has two he wants lightened?

I'm happy to have a go ? Taking from the back of course
