Only one change to the Australian team, Mitch Johnson has been rested while Brett Lee comes back into the team after a rest from the CB Series.

Re: Commonwealth Bank Series Game 10 - Australia vs India at SCG

Australia racked up 7/317 from there 50 overs, probably 30 or 40 short of what it shoudl have been. Ricky Ponting was the star with a massive return to form, he scored 124, Matthew Hayden made 54, Symonds 59 and Michael Clarke made 31.

Sreesanth was India's leading wicket-taker with 2/58 but he certainly wasn't there best bowler today. The other wicket taker were Ishant Sharma and Virender Sehwag with three of the seven wicket being run outs.

India replied with 299 all out, they lost four key wickets early, Tendulkar, Sehwag, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh all fell cheaply to leave India at 4/51. Gautam Gambhir though was the standout though and together with help from the captain, MS Dhoni and Robin Uthappa, they managed to drag India back into the contest and at least make a fight of the game. However, those early wickets proved to be costly and despite the lower order's best efforts, they couldn't get there and the run rate required proved to be too much. Gambhir made a fine centurt being being stumped for 113, Uthapps made 51 and Dhoni 36.

Brett Lee finished with 5/58 and found himself on a hattrick very late in the game, Staurt Clark took two wickets with Hogg and Hopes snaring the others.

A great game in the end but Australia were just too strong and they are looking ominous as the finals are just around the corner. India's loss keeps Sri Lanka alive but the Lankans will have to win their last two games to make the finals.

The next game is a day game between India and Sri Lanka down in Hobart on Tuesday.

Man of the Match for tonight's game was Ricky Ponting.
