Commonwealth Bank Series Game 11 - India vs Sri Lanka at Bellerive Oval

Well, Channel 9 has decided to telecast this game. India takes on Sri Lanka in a day match down in Hobart. This is the most important game for both these sides, if India can win today, they will book a spot in the finals against Australia while Sri Lanka must win to keep its finals hopes alive.

So far, India has dominated this match, they bowled out the Lankans for 179 in the 48th over. Chamara Kapugedera top scored with a well made 57. Jayasuriya made 34 and Sangakkara scored 33 but Sri Lanka's batting efforts were very disappointing once again and has summed up their one-day efforts rather succintly this summer. The three I mentioned were all out to very ordinary shots. Sangakkara walked down the pitch to Praveen Kumar but only suceeded in giving Dhoni an edge behind. Jayasuriya played an ordinary hook shot off Pathan and gave Dhoni another catch and Kapugedera was out caught and bowled to Harbhajan Singh after an interesting crossbat prod.

Praveen Kumar was India's best bowler, taking 4/31 off his ten overs. Ishant Sharma also took 4 wickets, with 4/41 off his ten. The other two wickets were mentioned above, taken by Pathan and Harbhajan respectively.

Just about ready for India's reply now as the players are out in the middle.

Early breakthrough for Sri Lanka, Malinga gets Robin Uthappa through a leading edge taken at mid-on. Earlier in the over, Uthappa played two nice flicks of his legs for four.

Uthappa was also dropped at first slip in the first over by Chaminda Vaas.

Anyway, he's gone now for 11, 1/18 in the 2nd over. Gautam Gambhir is the new batsman.

Tendulkar departs for 63 after hitting one to Chamara Silva in the deep off Muralitharan.

India are still in complete control though, 2/120 in the 21st over.
