Never good to hear about a person involved in cricket who dies, especially when they are helping the game grow in America.

It raises the question though about escalators in such stadiums. A man who attended the Twenty20 game between Australia and India at the MCG earlier this year fell from an escalator at a ridiculous height, the figure escapes me though. Remarkably he survived.

I know there are no escalators at Subiaco Oval, the major stadium in Perth.

I really don't see the need for escaltors in such stadiums or grounds, surely people aren't that lazy? They are far too dangerous for an outdoor setting.

at White Sox Park the escalators only go up, there are ramps when you want to leave the upper decks and are going down and the escalators are blocked I'm trying to figure out how someone walking down an escalator could lfall two stories. Did he tumble straight down it or did he fall over the side?

No idea, didn't read in detail from article what happened. I wonder if alcohol intoxication may have been a factor. Not trying to slander if no alcohol involved. And even if it was hypothetically the case, in general escalators safety at such stadiums needs to be scrutinised.

I'm thinking he may have tumbled straight forward and then down like the entire thing. If they are anything like the escalators at Sox Park then they are really long and go about 2-3 stories up/down.
