Delhi are 1/94 after 8.1 overs. Play has stopped due to a rain delay. Virender Sehwag is 47 not out from 19 balls, Gautam Gambhir was out for 40 from 28 balls not too long ago.

Play was due to restart at 10:40pm local time but now the covers are back on. Could be headed for a no result here but only five overs are needed for a game so there's hope yet.

They ended up getting out there, with the game reduced to 11 overs. Sehwag made 51 not out taking his team to 4/118, an impressive total.

The game was then further reduced to 8 overs with the target set at 89 for the Punjab team. Shaun Mrash was out early and then Yuvraj Singh and James Hopes followed soon after within four balls of each other. However, Mehela Jayawardene and Luke Pomersbach went beserk and got Punjab home off the last ball of the game. They made 3/94 from their eight overs.

McGrath, Sangwan and Mishra were the wicket-takers for the Delhi side.

Man of the Match was Mehela Jayawardene.
