During the franchise auction for the Indian Premier League teams GMR group acquired the rights for the Delhi franchise for $84 million.

The Daredevils will play their home matches in the Feroz Shah Kotla ground located in New Delhi, under the newly installed floodlights.

The Delhi Daredevils have announced Hero Honda as the title sponsor and Relegare as associate sponsors. Adidas is the official merchandise sponsor. Akshay Kumar has also been announced as the brand ambassador of the team during the launch of the Dare Devil Website.
