Who are we likely to see? Any new faces?

Have been really impressed by the way England has been playing recently, despite their inconsistency on occasion. Looks to be a tall order for Australia.

Ive been impressed at some games but its the inconsistency for me that bothers me. If we can keep consistent then Australia are in for a rough ride...its only if we wobble a bit like ive seen at times that I will worry. Come on Australia!!!

Gee whiz, yeah! Morgan, Patel and anyone else in the middle-lower order certainly have to be on their toes.
Yeah Samit wont get a look in and Morgan's got some work to do to secure a place, I've not been impressed by Morgan in the last year or so, never really rated him, don't like that weird ducking action he has when he bats.

I like Samit but he isnt doing it for me at the mo, Morgan has never achieved enough for me either...

Monty is getting a new England contract because of his efforts in India and NZ...could he becmoe a more present fixture in the England set up...he seems to be in and out at the moment.

That's mostly due to Swann who has been England's best spinner for quite some years. Panesar has certainly come on in the last 18 months or so, he was playing grade cricket in New South Wales not long ago and even offered to play for NSW at one point.

Do you reckon? He strikes me as a T/20 player or a one dayer at best. Has he ever done well in a Test?

He's never really had much of a chance in Whites but I think he looks more like a one day or T20 specialist player of the likes of Bevan, Afridi, Klusener etc.

The reason I said he should be in green is because it really annoys me how the ECB are doing their darnedest to ruin Irish cricket (both intentionally and un-intentionally).

Hmmmm..... not really? Averages 30; three fifties, two tons, and three ducks in 24 innings. Interestingly, he's only ever played Tests against Asian nations. I don't mind seeing him in whites, and I would like to see him get more goes* at it, but he's never really taken his chance with two hands.

* that just looks wrong. The plural of 'go', as in 'have a go at batting' is 'goes' not 'gos'? They both look wrong.

True about Swann and I totally agree Monty has come on alot in the past year and a half. Maybe he has a little more to go for a regular spot but I feel he can improve his game a bit more and could push on to be a bigger player in the team...although I do admit this could be me just being a little biased as I rate Monty as a player.

THE BIG HITTER CAN BE A GOOD FIELDER AND GET SOME RUNS ON THE BOARD.THE ONLY THING HE SHOULD DO IN TEST CRICKET IS TO BE PATIENT AND NOT TO PLAY CHEAP SHOTS
