excercizes for spinners

Re: excercizes for spinners

Sounds like it makes sense to me, I'm out of condition at the moment and an hour of Leg Spin practice and the next day every part of my body aches almost.

Re: excercizes for spinners

Hi Liz,

From last few weeks; I have unfortunately missed my exercise schedule's completely due to work load but the daily morning net practice was continued with sufficient amount of batting & bowling practice.
Now I want to start the exercises again so should i first opt for free style exercise like ,plank etc and then after how many days weight training like for core area, bicep curls,Arnold shoulder press & overhead triceps extension can be started.
Kindly advice.

Re: excercizes for spinners

It is great that you have been able to continue the net sessions Virender; it has maintained your level of fitness to a good degree.

Just ease yourself back in to your programme as normal, perhaps with slightly lower resistance at the start of a session and if it feels good, progress. Reversibility occurs at different rates for different people at different levels of fitness. You should be fine to pick up, more or less, where you left off.

Thanks Liz :)
Even though it will be diffcult to have the exercise consistently due to work load.
I will attend the net session daily & exercise also.

Re: excercizes for spinners

I've heard either Liz or David recommend that doing press ups but walking around on your hands in the press up position is good. How exactly is this done - do you do it with your arms in the 90 degree angle position and shuffle sideways crab style? Or are you allowed to do it with a not so acute angle?
