So I have one last thought on statistics for the league. If we enter bowling averages for every player that has one, the sim will end up letting them all bowl at some point, which is entirely unrealistic. I propose being able to enter a bowling average of '99' for anyone we do not want to bowl, to make it more realistic.

It still doesn't make it fool proof. I say anyone who is eligible obviously has bowled because they've got 15 wickets. So they can still bowl.

But for example, I have Tendulkar on my team who has a test bowling average of 50.68. I don't want him bowling, but I want him in the lineup batting.

We are confident that our team will be able to win every match put before them. If they are unable to, we will meet the other team before they head on to the bus to head home, and rest assured we will win that meeting! Unfortunately Stuart Clark is not yet eligible to play in tests for us, but when he is he will be a valuable asset to the team.

Interesting. What is his average ? Normal average for a bowler is about 5 any way if we were going to go down that way.

Nope, like 7 or 8 times, he's just always finished not out.


Anyway, my question was referring to a rule discussion from a few weeks ago where we said people had to have at least 200 runs to have a batting average. (Or something along those lines)

Maybe he's not allowed to bat! :eek:

If he is though, he should get a very low average since he is not eligible. Like some bowler who has career numbers of 1-1-0-1 :D

Not too sure, That rule was more about batters than bowlers. As some bowlers wouldn't get 200 runs if they played 50 ODI *Cough* Mcgrath *Cough*. What's his average score, Maybe we should give him that.
