Ford Ranger One Day Cup - Queensland vs New South Wales at the Gabba
Round 2 of the Ford Ranger One Day Cup is underway between Queensland and New South Wales. These two teams always have great contests and I'd expect this one to be much the same.
Currently, the game is in the balance although NSW were on top for quite a while during the middle of the innings. Queensland batted first and are 7/262 after their alloted 50 overs.
James Hopes scored 102 but their no other major contributions from the top order. Philipson scored 39 but the rest struggled.
Some late batting from Buchanan has seen his score rocket to 40, he remained unbeaten as did Andy Bichel who smashed 21 from 13 balls.
It was the same old story from Stuart Clark who once again was smashed around the ground, conceding 1/65 off his 10 overs. Doug Bollinger was the best of the bowlers taking 2/48, Aaron Bird took 1/26 off 5 overs with Nathan Hauritz picking up 1/42 against his old state.
Should be in for a good contest, we will see how the NSW batsmen fair after the dinner break.
