Future for pak cricket after Ireland Loss....
Hi...like every other pakistani i feel immense disapointment and sadness at our early exist from the world cup...However any inteligent person could forsee that pakistan would not have gone far in this competetion...for a variety of reasons....firstly the last 6 months have been really tough and mentally stressing for pakistan...from the Test match fiasco in england, to Daryl Hair issue, to Shoaib and Asif incidents etc....things just didnt go right for us....However i think that the biggest problem with pakistan cricket is the Pakistan cricket board..I hate the likes of Rameez Raja, Amir Sohail, Wasim Bari and all the others...including the chairman Dr Naseem or whatever his name is....
Personally i think that the board should be stripped apart completely with the likes of Wasim Akram and Imran Khan reinstated...I think Imran Khan is a huge asset for pakistan and despite him being 50 odd he can still provide alot of help to pakistan...Similarly Wasim Akram is a very charismatic and influencial person and the likes of new players such as Asif, Iftikhar, Sami...then can learn alot from Wasim....
As far as the team is concerned...i was very surprised not to see Imran Farhat opening the batting for pakistan..I thought he had a good series against West indies...How can the PCB suddenly bring Imran Nazir in who has not been consistenly in the side...This i feel is share ignorance on the part of PCB...Personally i would like to see Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir opening the batting...Im not a big fan of Younis Khan...I think he is immensely overrated....Instead i think that position should be offered to someone new...Considering the next world cup, i think Pakistan team really need to find the perfect balance and they have 4 years to do so...
I think Shoaib akhtar might have something left in him for the next world cup....If he stays clean..I can see the following players being useful in the world cup in this order...

Imran Farhat
Hassan Raza
Mohammad Yousuf
Asim Kamal
Shoaib Malik
Shahid Afridi
Abdur Razaq
Mohammad Asif
Shoaib Akhtar
Umer Gul
Mohammad Sami
Yasir Hameed

In addition to this we will need an injection of new talent to fill the shoes of Razzaq and Azhar Mahmmood....I see no place for Kamran Akmal and Inzi...I think this is the perfect time for Inzi to hang his boots and retire with a lot of respect. If he drags on he mite do what Waqar Younis did...which wont be a sensible move...However hopeless at present, im still of the opinion that Sami has a future...He is talented but just lacking some confidence...He should consider playing county cricket to boost his confidence and get more experience under his belt...Also i feel Asim Kamal is one to watch out for...He is a potential Hussey/Bevan in the making....I think from today after the Ireland defeat pakistan will do well if they keep hold of Bob Woolmer....He is a big big asset..However it appears that he has his heart set upon the Enland coaching Job...and its very likely that after Pakistan's World cup flop he might go through this plan...If the coachin position becomes vacant I think an ideal replacement might be Dave Whatmore the current coach of Bangladesh....He has proven track record with bangladesh..beating Australia, New Zealand and recently India....So he will be an ideal replacement for Bobby!!!
Also Inzi should pass on the captaincy to shoaib Malik whom i think will be do well...He is young, fresh and a very talented all rounder....If pakistan make the mistake of passing captaincy to Younis Khan that will be a bad mad move....Grame Smith got the captaincy of South Africa when he was 23/24 despite older players being around.....and he has done very well to gel the team...
However paksitan success lies in the dismantling of the PCB...need to get eid of these ignorant selectors who has more or less put themselves up for every available job such as being the selector, being the media representative, being the commentator....On one hand Mr Raja will be sitting on the selection pannel and selecting the pakistan team and the next day he will be live on TV picking faults with the team selection...And the funny thing is that whole pakistani nation is completely oblivious to this...Who elects these people...when did u hear that there was an election and Mr Amir Sohail got voted as the selector...Dignified people such as Wasim Akram, Imran Khan they have isolated themselves from this mess....The earlier pakistanis realise this the better futre we have.....
