Grounds around the world?

Which grounds have you managed to catch a test match at?

For me its:

MCG, SCG and Adelaide Oval from Australia

Lords, Trent Bridge, Old Trafford and The Oval from England

The most beautiful ground would have to be Old Trafford for mine.

Best Ground I have played cricket on would be:

The Nursery Ground, next too Lords

Or Oxford University Cricket ground, the history in that clubhouse is amazing:

Re: Grounds around the world?

Wow, I have to say you're quite lucky and privileged for having been to all these grounds. In my case, not such an impressive list (mainly because I think I come from a slightly older era, back when we didn't have so much instantaneous global sport coverage and internet/satellite TV, and it wasn't so cool attending sporting events). I've only been to the older Brabourne Stadium once, before it got renovated in Mumbai (then called Bombay).

Then, I've also been to Toronto once at an old cricket ground for an ODI between India vs. Pakistan. I forget the name of the stadium (cricket and curling something), and it hardly counts among the impressive list of cricket grounds around the world.

Re: Grounds around the world?

I've only been to the MCG, the Gabba and the Adelaide Oval.

Adelaide oval the best for me but I may be a bit biased.

Re: Grounds around the world?

only been to Adelaide and Melbourne to see games of cricket.

Umpired on Adelaide Oval too.

Adelaide wins by a long way - biased? yep, guilty

Re: Grounds around the world?

Adelaide Oval would be up there for one of the prettiest grounds in the world, but yes you are biased aussieman :p
