Group C - Canada v New Zealand

It could have been a close match today, since New Zealand has already qualified for the next round, and this game wouldn't affect them either way.

Fleming and Vincent came out pumped up though, and have already put the match out of Canada's reach.

Fleming was out for 66 a few overs ago.
Vincent is up to 61, and is in there with Fulton right now.

New Zealand 160-1 after 25 overs.

They should be heading for 350 today.

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

if they do reach 350 runs or more, and depending how the Canadians respond, it looks to be shaping up to another record margin of victory, however it's still early yet.

With New Zealand having plenty of wickets to spare and they are already through to the super 8's. They have nothing to lose but go all out and try to get a record score.

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

331 is New Zealand's Record Highest one day Score....They should Surpass that Easily today. Lou Vincent, Superb Innings , playing for his place in the side :) 228-2, I think the Canadians will need the full 50 Overs to get whatever Kiwi's get :p

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

Kiwis finish 363-5

McCullum got a half century in 20 balls!

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

Wow!! a superb innings for New Zealand. Canada will need to score 106 runs or more to avoid another record margin of defeat, which now stands at 257 runs

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

Well...hmm....why didn't they bat like this against Kenya? Canada are 73-0 after 9 overs, with Davison doing most of the scoring. He got bowled on 10, but it was a no ball. They're ahead of the run rate presently, but there's no way they can stay there.....can they?

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

Davison out for 53, but boy did he make an impression today.

Barnett and Bagi have slowed down since he went though.

Canada 98-1 after 15.

See that photo on Cricinfo of Vincent sweeping against Canucks?
Can see half the stadium behind him and you there's NOT A SINGLE PERSON
IN THE STANDS! And this is supposed to be the WORLD CUP!

Now this is getting old!!, enough already. If all you could do is complain about the same thing over and over and not contribute anything meaningful to the thread then you need to gripe elsewhere.

Re: Group C - Canada v New Zealand

Canada 200/3 after 37 overs. some good batting on the part of Canada. They need 163 runs in 12 overs. I think they could do if they really bat aggressively at this stage, they still have wickets in hand to spare. If not, the score will be very close.

They are making New Zealand sweat a little i'm sure.

Seriously mate, give it up. If you watched on TV, you would see that there were crowds (albeit small ones), but they were all in the back rows so they could stay in the shade. And it is the world cup, the crowds do not change that.
