Hello to Darren Talbot Cricket Coaching!

simplyCricket is proud to announce another partnership, this time with Darren Talbot Cricket Coaching. Darren will be around specifically to answer your batting questions but will also dip his toes into the world of spin.

To help you all get to know him, here is a little background information:

Darren is a full-time UKCC Level 2 qualified cricket coach and an England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Coaches Association Member.

To help further his coaching ambitions, Darren set up Cobham Avorians Cricket Club and is now Academy Director.

The Academy is now thriving with over 70 members, 8 volunteer coaches and teams in the West Surrey Youth Cricket League at Under 13 and Under 11 age groups and has recently added a girls' team.

Darren attended King’s College School (KCS) Wimbledon where he was captain of cricket in 1989. He still holds the post-war record for number of wickets in a season for the school 1stXI – 58 in 1987.

Darren captained Surrey Young Cricketers and played in the Surrey U19 team; mainly as a slow-left arm bowler and attacking middle-order (occasional opening) batsman. Within the Surrey teams Darren was a regular team mate of former England captains Mark Butcher and Adam Hollioake.

Further to that he has played league club cricket for various clubs in Surrey and Kent over the last 20 years including Walton-on-Thames, Dover and Cobham Avorians.
