Hitting across anything on leg stump line
Hi
I have developed this bad habit of hitting across anything thats on leg stump line and getting out LBW.
When facing (leg) spinners, the moment they deliver on the leg stump line and a fuller length, I am trying to sweep and got out LBW 3-4 times this season. With medium fast, I am trying to slog them over mid wicket or mid on and getting caught.
I kept telling myself to play straight (the leg stump line one in particular) before today's game, but alas! I faced a leggie in the 1st over and ended up sweeping 2 balls. I cud not beleive when I did it the first time and cursed myself but then a ball later, did it again!!! Got a contact both times though. Was eventually out to another slow-medium pace bowler who bowled a touch fuller on the leg stump and I stretched forward to hit him over the top , did not get a contact, ball landed on my foot and the umpire raised the deadly finger.
It appears my body got tuned this way and just would not listen.
I have no problems playing strainght anything on middle or off though.
Any ideas to get rid of this bad habit wud be much appreciated.
