ICC U19 Americas WCQ

The qualifying tournament for the Americas to get into the U19 World Cup begins in Toronto today. The participating teams are Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands, and Argentina. A round robin tournament will be played between now and Saturday, with the winner progressing to the world cup in Malaysia early next year.

Canada DOMINATED Bahamas today, scoring 423 before bowling Bahamas out for 80. Revendu Gunasekara scored a spectacular 155, but lost the MOTM to Pratik Patel. All Patel did was score 75 runs and then take 7 wickets for 3 runs. Decent performance..

The big game is likely coming up on Saturday, Canada v Bermuda. Both teams have been beating up on the minnows so far, so that game will probably be a 'championship' type game.
