Lance Klusener - The Zulu
What has Lance "Zulu" Klusener been upto lately? Watching the farcical manner in which Saffie top order batting crumbled in the semi-final reminded me of Klusener. And the unfortunate circumstances under which he stopped playing after Graeme Smith became captain.
Now that was one great cricket player, he was a real honest player. I truly admired his raw approach towards cricket, the way the sport should push its boundaries. For me personally, his mentality fit more the West Indies teams of late 70s-early 80s, my most favourite teams.
As an aside, I don't think Graeme Smith's captaincy has been good for SA. The semi-final performance was beyond shocking. |@
