Money Shield 2025/26

Well said Brutal

It’s funny how all of a sudden Montmorency Oval is the favored ground for the DVCA. It’s almost as though there is someone connected to Mont making decisions on ground allocations

And coming on the back of Monty refusing to host a C grade grand final two years ago because they “couldn’t get the rooms open”
I can't remember a time where the competition has been this laughable. Yes, they have directive from Cricket Victoria with some of their decision-making, but overall it has been disgracefully ran this year - led by Flack.

I’ll just plonk this here, since there’s no where else. The DVCA needs to get fairdinkum when it comes to lower grades GF ground allocations.

Call me biased but when the highest placed team only has a small change area and toilet block on offer, whilst the second placed team has a Money shield home ground vacant, common sense needs to prevail.

50-70 people rock up to Central Park to watch a game and they have to cater for themselves whilst there was an opportunity to play at a better facility with canteen and bar operations. Elder St and War Memorial had no games if you wanted a neutral venue and better facilities.

If you’re going to put your hand up to host Shield finals taking a potential home ground advantage away from your club, then I don’t think you should expect a home GF at an inferior facility that can’t cater for supporters at lower levels. F2 had by far the worst location for a GF and it was an embarrassment!
Don't know if this old school or not but I'm still of the opinion that every grand final regardless of grades should be a neutral venue.

A lot of signings / new players in Money and Mash shield.
Makes for a very competitive season with some loaded up sides.
Also makes for some shallow sides as well. Could be a very large gap between top 4 and bottom 4

Would hate to know what Riverside and Lower Plenty are going to be forking out for a Money Shield squad!!!!

Is Riverside petitioning the exec to remain in Barclay, or has that course run its race ?
Would be pretty cool if they spent more than 1 year in Money. They'll get a full year out of Nick Austin seeing he doesnt have a job

All jokes aside
I'm a Newbie
Why is Riverside such a big deal ?
They've won 2 x flags between 2017 - 2022

Last 15 years
Diamo - 4 x flags
Macleod & Rosanna x 3
