One Day Leg Side Wides [Discuss]

What do you all think of the leg side wide rule in OD cricket? I think stuff down leg side should be called wide unless the ball would hit the batsman if he doesn't move or it only is a few inches wide.

It most annoys me when a ball is bowled at a batsmen, then the batsmen moves and the ball goes down outside leg stump and it is called wide.

I think it should be more like the offside ruling - if the batsman can play a reasonable cricket shot to it then it isn't a wide, which is approximately the white line that is painted in for ODers. Instead of if it goes down the legside of a batsman, it should be if they can play a reasonable shot then it is fine, which means a couple of centimetres more leeway.
