Pakistan vs Scotland Match Thread

This one starts at 1pm (UK time). Scotland have already said they are targeting a win here, so who knows?

Their job may have been made slightly easier by not having to face Akhtar but Pakistan do still have a decent attack.

Scotland win the toss and will bat bowl first. Interesting move, an early wicket or two could really put the skids under Pakistan.

Would be interesting to see if Scotland can restrict Pakistan to 160-170. I feel Pakistan will be aiming to get a 200+ score.

If they only get 160 I feel it may give Scotland a small chance. Pakistan have seemingly gone in with 3 main bowlers and 2 part-timers so they lack a bit of depth there if things start to go wrong.

Two wickets for Scotland. They are bowling well, the run rate is less than 6!
The total might be a lot less than I imagined.

Well 67 for 3 after 10 overs isn't too bad. If they can nick out another 2 wickets they could well keep Pakistan to 150.

Scotland is playing really well. Afridi has arrived now, Scotland needs to get his wicket early. He's already made 16 of 3.

Afridi gone for 22, run rate back under 8. Still think Pakistan are only looking at about 150 here.

Six wickets down. Regardless of how much Pakistan get this is a very impressive performance by Scotland.

I didn't imagine that Pakistan would struggle against Scotland. They have been absolutely amazing in the field. 160-165 is still on.

Well 158 with 6 balls to go. They're going to be throwing the bat at it so would be looking in the region of 170 I'd have thought.

They finish off at 171. Scotland won't be able to challenge this but they did really well with the ball.

Well, looking all over for Scotland but they've done themselves proud. Have been fairly competitive although I'm sure that they would have liked to have scored more runs.

Who knows, if they had kept Pakistan to 140 then it might have been a different outcome!
