Recovering from Injuries?

Recovering from Injuries?

I am getting injured frequently now, I started playing at 14 and as soon as I turned 16 the injuries started, I’m just coming off my rotary cuff injuries and had got rid of the shin splints, but now I have a bad back and the shin splints have returned, I feel so fragile.
I was just wondering what equipment I can buy like ice packs and oils that will help me and how I should go about getting rid of these injuries, should I rest and then play again, or strengthen the areas before returning?

I'm not an expert in this area but I would say that you need to let any injury fully heal before starting to play again. It would also be beneficial to look at the possible cause of any injury in order to minimise the risk of it re-occurring.

When you are back up and playing you'll need to manage the amount of time your playing as well, at least until you are 'match' fit and the body is accustomed to playing once again.

You probably don't realise it storm but you have been under a lot of stress recently. This, together with the degree at which you have been pushing yourself is a great recipe for injury.

I would take some time out to eat and sleep well whilst maintaining your level of fitness. You need to relax; chill out. Forget the results until they are due ;)

When you feel you have done this, go ahead and play but stop as soon as you feel pain.
