Rotator cuff clinic

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

I like the turkish get up. Good for strengthening the rotator cuff and a few other muscles.

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

Around the World is a great warm up. Although it will work [some of] the rotator cuff it really targets the Delts.

I really like the TGU but it is more functional for Jelly Beanz than most cricketers.

Always remember, even with the rotator cuff, you need to be training movement, not muscles.

Have another look at http://www.harrowdrive.com/how-to-protect-your-shoulder-from-cricket-injury/ . The best way to train the rotator cuff is to understand what it does ;) and you need to target these muscles in movement.

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

Can I ask why it is more functional from my point of view than from most people's?? Something to do with my ankle I presume?

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

Oh ok, I wasn't thinking there :p

It does look really good for explosive strength but I don't have a kettleball (would dumbells be as good?)

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

Unless you have a little sister :p

Sorry, yes a dumbell would be great; make sure you have a firm grip though ;)

Re: Rotator cuff clinic

 yeah, I will do

And no, I don't have a little sister :p just a brother who's nearly the same size as me despite being 2 yrs younger.
