Run a 3

...I can't seem to find the times for the 'Run a 3' test - I seem to remember if you could run a 3 in less than 9.2secs then that is classified as good and above 10.5 poor .. but not sure of the exact figures and what the 'ok' range was!

I'm sure someone here will have the exact figures to hand! :)

Thanks!

He misses out the time it takes to collapse and swear at your partner as you tell him not to do that again. :p

Seriously though, it's great practice just to work on running 2's and 3's. Gets you in the mindset of running the first hard to maximise the chance of a 2 etc.

Re: Run a 3

I knew I had read it somewhere recently - thanks ... we'll try and avoid the 'Yes, No, Sorry' syndrome!! I think we have had enough time to be 'match fit' so we'll have a little contest this evening!

Thanks very much!

Re: Run a 3

After last season and being run out twice by my own team mates we now have an understanding! if tehy run me out again on suicidal runs i will break a body part!

Re: Run a 3

There's a guy a my club who wasn't the fittest - but in one match last year, one of the boundaries was far enough away that he had to run 4!

He was so knackered after it that he pretended he'd pulled a hamstring so he could lie down for a bit

Re: Run a 3

I was looking at our stats the other day to identify weak areas for the team to work on .. and I was amazed to see we didn't have any run outs at all last season!!! Despite having the stereotypical 'fat bloke' , suicide runner and ball watcher in our team..... however we have just finished indoor league - played 6 lost 6 - all players out every game (36 dismissals (they play last man stand in that league)) - out of those 36 only 4 were not run outs!! - we are now just convincing ourselves that outdoors those shots would go for 4 and not ricohet off the wall straight to a fielder! .. oh well only a couple of weeks to go!!
