Re: sponsorship

It depends on what level you play. You have to play at a decent level and you have to be a good player. A mate of mine (around your age) is playing district cricket and APS is getting sponsored by Aero.

There's a link to their sponsership page. I guess they won't give you a bat but still it's better than nothing.

I'm sure mas cambios might have some contacts, though.

Gray Nichols Australia has a sponsorship application page on their website, but it's closed ATM because it isn't cricket season - I went on the UK one but I couldn't find any page on it. I actually know a guy high up at GN Australia, we get discounted bats xD

For Woodworm -

Re: sponsorship

It all depends on the company and also on what you're looking for. Most companies will want a cricketing profile to a good level (in the UK this means county representative) but that's not always the case.

Some companies will offer you a small discount regardless of ability, although you'll only be saving 5/10% maximum (then again, it's better than nothing).

The best thing to do is to pick out 3 or 4 companies that you like and write to them. Explain that cricket is your passion, that you love their kit and also detail what cricketing experience you have. Some places may ask for a cricketing C.V so have something that you can send if needed. Also, if you can get feedback/references from coaches etc then that is always handy.

The truth is that some will and some won't. Also, some will offer decent amounts of discounts, others hardly anything at all. However, unless you ask, you'll never know.
