The key to getting a test spot in the modern era beyond team balance or ability is having a hot mrs. A public profile and glamorous looks in a partner are utterly essential.
For instance, all the talk going into this current test was that Johnson needed to sit it out, and McDonalds form proabably warranted a call up.
The result, Johnson stays, Macca misses out, Hughes is dropped, in comes Watto.
