Twenty20 Quadrangular Series (Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda and Bangladesh) in Nairobi
First day of this series was held earlier today.
The first two matches saw Pakistan take on Uganda and Kenya hosted Bangladesh in the afternoon session.
Pakistan belted Uganda in the first game with Uganda proving no match for the might of the Pakistans. Pakistan smashed the Ugandan bowlers around the park and were very restrictive when they were bowling. Probably not the best game for Uganda, they were proven to be totally out of their depth. At least they get an opportunity to play the better sides.
Oh, and Shahid Afridi blasted a quick 57 not out off 15 balls. His innings included 7 sixes and 3 fours. Not bad hey?
Pakistan 3/226 (20 overs)
Salman Butt 74* (55)
Shahid Afridi 57* (15)
Younis Khan 51 (26)
Kamran Akmal 31 (23)
Uganda 7/78 (20 overs)
Otim 27* (29)
Umar Gul 2/10 (3)
Shoaib Malik 2/17 (4)
Iftikhar Anjum 1/1 (3)
Pakistan won by 148 runs.
Man of the Match: Shahid Afridi
In the second game, Kenya posted a competitive score first up, Mishra scored 38 and the eppervescent Steve Tikolo made 24, how many times has he helped Kenya? Countless times you'd reckon. A range of bowlers picked up two wickets for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh overhauled the target with 14 balls to spare. Debutant Mohammad Nazimuddin made 43* off 37 balls and Mohammad Ashraful scored a brisk 36. They were too good for Kenya in the end but the Kenyans should prove to be quite competitive at the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.

D Obuya 23 (19)
