Warne to miss games to play poker

Hampshire will be without captain Shane Warne for the start of the season because of his poker commitments.

Warne, 38, will compete in a number of events throughout the year as part of his deal with an online poker company.

Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove told BBC Sport: "We are confident he will back, but we will have to start the season with someone different.

Well, he had a talent for thinking out batsman, so I guess poker may be a good option.

Can't see Hampshire being too happy at losing their captain for a few weeks but that's the way it goes.

Disapointing that in his final year of cricket he decides to do this. Probably signed up for something he didnt realise he was doing or wants some easy money.
