Wow that is something else Mal. It was cancelled this year due to the pandemic which has already taken over 160K Brazillians.

Dia de los Muertos — Cancún, Mexico

Taking place from October 31 – November 2, this traditional Mexican holiday (translated as Day of the Dead) honors family and loved ones who have passed on. Colorful decorations, costumes and painted faces can be spotted all over town. Sugar skulls, brightly decorated and placed on graves and altars in remembrance, are also an iconic image of the festival.

It's amazing that they usually have a couple of million on the streets for the festival... awful that Brazil have lost 160,000 to this virus so far.

On the streets and in the stands mate. What a spectacle.

Waitangi Day is New Zealand's national day. It is a holiday held annually on February 6th to commemorate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi - New Zealand's founding document - on February 6th 1840.
The waka {canoe} is launched every year as part of Waitangi Day celebrations... some waka can fit up to 100 people.

Where is this held Mal. Something worth seeing live for sure.

The Bay Of Islands Craig... near the top of the North Island.
Have gone up there a couple of times to Waitangi Day.
The Waka are a spectacular watch.

Was brilliant that NZ won the oldest cup in sport the America's Cup yesterday... wish I'd been up in Auckland to watch it, the atmosphere looked great on tv.
