Do you barrack for the tiges because you have played with 9 different DVCA clubs?

Yeah I didn't think a certain someone was gunna post on this site again. Must be a massive coincidence that a certain someone wrote his last post then 2 days later along comes a new guy with massive grudge against TU. Give it a rest flog, the guys at Thommo have always been nice blokes on and off the field so give it a rest champ.

On the field? Everybody I play with is a massive ****! Off it? You'll have to pm me who they are, because I wouldn't know them. Unless there's another team from Thomastown?

If u or any else on here is from tu, give me one good reason to be positive about what your club has dished up in last 5 seasons!! You're not on your own but its the topic at hand. And db whats 9 clubs? Played with lower eltham from age 12-17 then been where i am now since, 25 years minus 2 for knee reco. I will talk positively or negatively about whatever clubs dish up no favourites or bias

Looks like most games have gone to script yesterday, the top 3 all posting healthy totals. Hurstbridge have sealed third spot and will be able to head to Rosanna without needing to win to make finals.

4th still up for grabs. Lalor probably should have batted the 80.. Still huge odds on favourites for that one and will be looking for a big percentage boost too, as that is what might decide 4th.

Monty still with work to do, and likewise will want to pass Whittlesea without losing more that a few more wickets. First they have to just ensure the 6 points. Whittlesea have probably already played the outright out of the equation.

The other two HDCA sides look like they'll win and stay up. Both look like they've played better cricket after christmas or perhaps had a better fixture but either way a win will put them right into the middle of the table and sow up the relegation.

TU, PH and WH all on the way down. Probably can't argue with that. Looking at those above them there's a fair gap between those three and the rest. That being said I've enjoyed the 14 team comp with more one dayers and hope that picking 4 from 14 will make for a good finals series. Rosanna still clear favourites for mine.

Surprises for the season: thought Eltham would make the 4, in a tight year inconsistent batting and a mediocre bowling attack cost them a few games and will probably only end up breaking even.

Lower plenty: strange year, started slow, found some form and lost it again back to the drawing board for them.

Lalor stars: bounced back pretty well, their top order has probably been the in form top order in the comp. will be very stiff if they miss finals.

Hurstbridge: % suggests they've won some tight games. Got good value from the imports. Perera still on track for 40 wickets and 300 runs. Wonder what a local guy with those numbers would cost. Guys chipping in around them and they've earned their spot in the 4.

I am hoping for a Rosanna victory in the final game over lalor stars. These are 2 teams that haven't tried to buy a premiership as much as hurtsy and Greesborough. Hurts must be paying through the nose for their 3 former first class Sri lankans, and i am sure Greensborough will have a new look line up next year as butera and the boys seek offers elswhere if they don't get up. So go the local talent . Hopefully a Rosanna and lalor granny

Very unlikely mate. Rosanna will most likely get Lalor in the semi. I think Rosanna will get up and probably make finals in Barclay next year.

you have no idea boosaka, just appointed the right man for the job.

Well, I guess hoping and what happens in reality are 2 diff things. I agree with u that Rosanna would go great guns in Barclay. Gun side. And I don't think they will need much more than what they have now.

?... And I don't think they will need much more than what they have now.
Well lets hope not, because if they go up and recruit I'm sure you'll be straight off their bandwagon and onto diamond creeks. I don't think the gap between the two grades is huge and I think whichever side goes up will give a good account of themselves as st Francis has.

I guess u do have a point. They are the right men for the job seeing as though they got their teams into the finals. I'm just not a big fan of clubs buying too many players. I know some agree and some disagree. It does allow local talent to pit their skills against tougher competition. But should there be limits?

When we have the same population as England we can have the 1 pro- player per team rule. Otherwise just be happy that you are getting better players into the comp. As for Greensy I counted 2 first year recruits in their team, WOW!

Looks to me like Rosanna are getting a fair bit ahead of themselves.

Bat well but bowling is nothing brilliant, let alone to compare with say Daimo who would currently be the best side in Barclay. Big test over the next few weeks, Skips this week, Hursti comming off 340 then probably the proven Toppi Drummond and Kemp in the first final.
