Black Rock is not the Bronx but covers would be at high risk. Looking forward to seeing James Miller as a guest for Noble Park. Why do we still have guest players ? Should only be players who have played for the club.

Are the results of the T20's anywhere. And which guest players did best ? Brighton had last over win against Noble Park and play Kingston who I hear also won next week. As an aside quite difficult to get to Noble Park on a Tuesday night when working in the city.

Interestingly the Moorabbin pitch has not been covered as the council refused to so far out.The request by the subbies to clubs to cover their pitches as early as Tuesday night is a good idea when subsequent rain is forecast. However, curators will not wish covers to be laid over a table that is still wet from the usual early-in-the-week heavy irrigation. Provided curators know that henceforth the subbies will issue instructions to clubs in circumstances as above, they should be able to bring forward their post-match irrigation so as the table will be reasonably dry by Tuesday afternoon. We curators are always looking at weather forecasts, so will be well aware if their is a likelihood the subbies will ask for the early covering of the pitch.
What's stopping the club from. Covering it? I suppose why would you want to cover it in Wednesday after knocking up 260 odd. Super saint, you boys battling a bit witty the stick this year? Missing the poms?Interestingly the Moorabbin pitch has not been covered as the council refused to so far out.
Have Council provided a reason for their refusal? There is no doubt extended covering of the table prevents photosynthesis thereby weakening the grass and leaving it more susceptible to pathogens. I am having a devil of a job at the moment keeping a fungus called Dollar Spot under control as it loves windless conditions and a moist leaf, these being the conditions under a cricket pitch cover. The fungus invades the cells of the plant and kills the area invaded, so it is a concern.Interestingly the Moorabbin pitch has not been covered as the council refused to so far out.
Struggled a bit early, have been better since the Brighton game. Are certainly missing last year's Poms, taking 800 runs away is a lot to make up!What's stopping the club from. Covering it? Yeah thats massive! Brighton look to be a strong contender this year although got pasted by Ormond by the looks? Brightons bowlers look like that had been doing a fair bit of damage! Caulfeild and Plenty Valley predictably looking the goods as well, have you played either of these sides yet?Struggled a bit early, have been better since the Brighton game. Crawley is a very good bowler and have enough around him to be good although Ormond did take them to town. PV and Caulfield are travelling weel, play Caulfield next game, so can give a bit more analysis after this.Yeah thats massive! Almost got there on a 2nd week wicket. A great game of cricket. Hard to see anything but a PV vs Caulfield Grandfinal. Seen most sides now and surprise long shots are Ormond and Ivanhoe. Both have some class batsmen. Hansen is as good as anyone in Subbies and Bird is a very good pickup.Crawley is a very good bowler and have enough around him to be good although Ormond did take them to town. bad luck to the rep team today who lost on the 2nd last ball - just can't get a win over the country boys but making 269 is a good effort
Agreed, both Caulfield and PV have class throughout there teams, PV's batting can be devastating so I think this will see them end up as premiers. You guys look like you were a bit unlucky not to end up beating Ormond which looks like an amazing effort chasing 363.Almost got there on a 2nd week wicket. A great game of cricket.
