Gee is there any players left at Raiders.? I wouldn't clear Marmo for awhile. Hopefully the club can stick together with what's left and build on it kids. They have good people who work hard to keep the club going. Hopefully they stay as well.
Who remembers when East lost a heap of players and were sitting last and ended up pulling a few guys out of no where. Maybe they will have to do it again.
I've got a feeling O'Connor going to Burum is because it could be the last year of that comp and clubs are trying to win the flag.
District will be close again which is more interesting . I would say Mt Beauty and Baranduda will be up there.
Hopefully Albury can push the top sides all year.
Ball is trying all his old contacts to play at Tallanagatta.

From what I have been told Wizards, a few guys who I know from Yack (where he plays footy) reckon he is very confident in his own ability.
"I should be captaining the rep side" was one of his lines.
So I hope he can play !!
 
Rumour has it young kid lucas hutchinson will be returning to Wodonga after a year away playing cricket in Bendigo this will help their cause also jack robinson has moved to Melbourne which is another big loss at the kennel

Mick Bridges is the other BUT Raiders is a strong club with big hearts they will fight back .... takes more than Cyclone Marmo to rip a club like that apart

Well that's not bad . Clark played footy out there so that could be the reason. I have heard that they have signed a new captain and landed a import. From what I've heard he's very keen to take the job and can play abit. He won't put the juniors down and give them ago. I think the standard over all will drop this year with the amount of top players leaving or not playing.

Do 2nds and 3rds players really count as major losses now? You blokes really can't get enough of ragging out our club. Congrats to Daisy and Steve Coonan for leading our club through a turbulent time, I'm sure we'll come out on the other side the better for it.

NO you are right 2nd and 3rd players dont count if your still running on Marmo mentality BUT they should count if you are a club rebuilding from a shit storm....

Not sure who Steve Coonan is but im guessing he is the new president. ..
 
Between them they have enough cricket knowledge to last a life time. Both very good with younger players. Coonan hasn't played for few years but will be a great leader who can hold up a end and bowl handy inswingers. He will be captain I'm told and Daisy will help out with training. The fitess 40 year old going around. Who knows what they can do but at least they are having a crack. I've heard they also landed a bowler from Howlong. With the great committee behind them it should only be positives from here. Goood luck boys and who knows a old off spinner might come down and help out. ;)
 
Don't people on here have anything better to talk about than Marmo and the Raiders.
I don't know why you even bother talking about Marmo, he does the same thing every second year, so I don't understand why people even bother let it concern them. Who cares.
The raiders, obviously struggling to entice players to come to the club, as well as retain current players.
I'm sure they have people who care about the club in positions of importance involved with the club.
So let them battle there way through the tough times. Instead of kicking them when they are down.
There are so many fantastic things which happen in our competition, great players, amazing matches, the best big bash set up for a regional comp in Australia, a great rep side and so on....
There are 5+ new coaches in the league this year, a number of players coming and going,
We are less than 3 weeks out from what will be another great season for CAW so how's about we focus on some positives on this site instead of continued negativity

I'll try and change the topic by having a go at a ladder, leading run scorer, premier.

I don't think stating that blokes are leaving is ragging out your club Raider Boi. It's news and that's what people want to read. I wish Steve and Daisy all the best in building the Club up again. I don't think it's gonna be a quick fix but good luck to all involved
