Gca Player Movements 2011/2012

Lofty will be playing and is apparently fresh after a season in the UK.
Buchanon claims he hates being annoyed with offers from clubs yet seems to send a few messages to mates at clubs suggetsing he loves the attention.
St Albans are linked with everyone from Katich down...thank god for WarneOrBourne or we would think they needed 12 sides to fit all their recruits in.
Hopefully Newcomb only go after home grown players - surely getting your fingers burnt with money chasing players has cost them already. Farnsworth wont be going there.
Any news in regards to Newtown?
And will Peake be playing at Sth barwon?

Yes Peake has commited to playing for South Barwon

Anybody have an idea of when the clearance list for this coming season will appear on the GCA website? this will give us a much better idea of confirmed transfers
The GCA would probably have to fill the Pennant position to do that. At the GCA AGM that and the Statistician position were both not filled. Clearances only opened up today 1st August.

We heard that u lost keno, burrows,Josh smith, Todd smith and Townsing.
Burrows and smith look to have gone to Lara, Todd smith has gone to Geelong, which is great for our club but a loss no doubt. Townsing more than likely staying and not sure what keno is upto, last time I checked he was a little river player.

Playing a mix of one day and two day games is a bit of a joke. I don't have anything against Highton, but let's be honest, they could easily lose a couple of games outright. You wouldn't want to be drawn to play them in a one dayer if others are beating them outright.
The lesser sides like one day games cos they're more chance to snatch a win against a good side, but really they should be scrapped.

I agree with you there. Will Highton do better or worse than Thomson did in division 1 last season? be interesting to see

A hell of a lot worse. Thomson had a decent attack, just lacked with the batting they did have div1 standard players. Highton don't. And with no bowlers it can only spell one thing. Long days chasing leather.
Gee that would really dissappoint a lot of people...........Highton getting smashed every week.......NOT!
