Group B - Bangladesh v India

This is a match I've been loking forward to. I think it provides one of the best chances for one of the smaller teams to beat one of the top 8 in this World Cup.

India have won the toss and will bat first.

They've got an extremely formidable top 7 batsmen. All 7 of them are capable of putting up huge numbers.

India V Sehwag, SC Ganguly, AR Uthappa, SR Tendulkar, R Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, AB Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, Z Khan, MM Patel

Bangladesh Shahriar Nafees, Tamim Iqbal, Aftab Ahmed, Saqibul Hasan, Habibul Bashar, Mohammad Ashraful, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Rafique, Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Syed Rasel

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Almost a crazy runout in the first over! Ganguly collided with one Bangladeshi player, and Sehwag collided with another. Sehwag couldn't ground his bat because of it, and just barely got hit foot down in the crease in time to avoid being run out.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Bowled him!!!!!

Mortaza gets Sehwag in the third over!

India 6-1 after 2.1 overs.

It'll be interesting to see if Sehwag continues to be included in the team. His initial selection was already slightly controversial, and this won't help.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

This is a great start for the Bangladeshis. I hope they continue to put the presure on the Indias. Even though i picked India to win this one, somehow I have a heart for the underdogs :)

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Anyone know where there's internet radio coverage? 3 is showing a repeat of the England-NZ game...

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Mortaza gets his second! Uthappa is gone.

India 21-2 after 6.4

Great start for Bangladesh here.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Indeed a great start, I'm sure Bermuda is watching this one very carefully :)

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Bangladesh is certainly keeping it tight after 9 overs score 24/2

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

India 38-2 after 14.

Great bowling from Mortaza and Rasel so far. It seems that the pitch really suits their pace. Unfortunately, Bangladesh have a lot of spin in their bowling line-up and Mortaza and Rasel are going to run out of overs pretty soon.

We'll see if Rafique, Saqibul, and Razzak can keep the pressure on India.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

No worries about the Bangladeshi spin!
Razzak comes on and gets Sachin in his first over!!!!

India 40-3 after 15 overs!!

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

India 60-3 after 20 overs.

Rasel finishes his 10 overs for the day having conceded only 31 runs. He'll be very pleased with his effort today.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Rafique comes in and gets Dravid with his very first delivery of the day!!

India 72-4 after 24.1

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

India 96-4 after 32 overs.

They still haven't even reach 100 yet.
But if they can hang on to their wickets, they'll be able to swing the bat a lot in the last 10 overs, and should reach 210-220.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

India 146-4 after 41

best partnership of the day so far between Yuvraj and Ganguly

and since they've held on to their wicket, they should be able to reach about 225 by the 50th over, especially with Dhoni still to come

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Yuvraj gone for 47

India 157-5 from 42.4

Bangladesh are celebrating, but I'm not sure they should be.
They might've been better off leaving Dhoni back in the pavillion.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

And now Ganguly is gone too!!!

India 158-6 after 43.2

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Rafique strikes again!!!!!
Dhoni gone now too!

India 159-7 after 43.5

India have completely given away the nice recovery that Ganguly and Yuvraj provided.

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Harbhajan bowled by Razzak!

India 159-8

It looks like 200 is completely out of reach now!

Re: Group B - Bangladesh v India

Mortaza comes back and strikes with the first ball of his new spell!!

India 159-9

Wow, I'd like to retract this statement I made just 15 minutes ago!
Bangladesh were surely right to celebrate, and they've taken it to the next level now!!
