lbw we have found the best way to get him early........get 1 to go the other way is the key concrete......keep it full young bloke@|

yous have won 4 games this year and lost to teams above you in the top 4....the teams you have to beat are the ones vying for finals spots aswell so your top 5 or so bats have to fire.......

no doubt

his been opening in the 2's and batting very consistant, come up to willowfest with us (dont know how his mum let him come with us) but anyway, he opened a few games against some good pace, brown from croydon who opened in the subbies game, got 60 that game and opened against a district first opener and didnt look out of his ground. his gonna be a good player.

our motivation will be knowing we have to win every game from now to be up there this year. james wheels will get wolfy caught behind early. good shape to the left hander as you would know, would have been handy in the semi last year old concrete!!

Kighty is a good young player as you said Kirky.
He looked good against us early in the 2's but then got him self out.
Im not sure if he is ready for 1sts this year.
Do you think he is up to it?
He will be ready next year i reckon.
Just an opinion.

The 2's are away at Box Hill.
Big game for us 2nd vs 5th i think it is but we are a good one day side, 2-0 in 1 dayers so far so we should win.
You have Altona yes if so home or away?
They are on top so it will be tough but you never know with 1 dayers?
Who should we look out for from Melton to win them the game?

Ok ,The money end of the season is with us.
Nth/Sth one dayer this week
Bundooras big guns to outplay balwyn at o/ps home ground
Elsty v Ivanhoe ,toss of a coin here ,elst just b/c of playing at home but would not surprize to see the hoes win
Ormonds young guns led by Beshara to outgun brighton
Malvern to continue on its finals journey at the expense of preston
Brunswick even team balance to beat a struggling coburg
Caulfield at home overa under preformed kew
Moorabbin to keeping charging up the ladder over the saints, with pradeep to score another huge one

Up to you piston for your spin on east/west group

Whats everyones early tip for the medal

Lol i look out for bubba on the scorecard.
And you seamer lol lots of luck, i think you boys are going to need it.
For us i reckon you should keep a look out for P.Gallivan.
I reckon he will make 50 and take 2 fa against the hillmen as piston likes to call them.

Re: subbies season 07/08

Ok Bucket Head,time to preview this week's round of one dayers;
Oakleigh v Bayswater-probably go the home side although their batting might be a bit suss under pressure, should be a close one.
Willy v Box Hill-game of the round/year,hopefully both sides at full strength, could be a bit of feeling in this one,the Hillmen out for revenge for last years championship final defeat but with Sheedy and co.in form will stick with Willy in a ripper.Anyone interested in Subbies should make an effort and get down there.
Melton v Altona-another vital game where the loser will struggle to make it,Gale the key to this one,if he fires Melton to get the points,if he fails the whole side can struggle, for the sake of a tip will go the A's.
Croydon v Broady-the Falcons cannot afford to drop games like this.
if they're to figure in the finals so that incentive should be enough to see them home.
Noble Park v Endeavour Hills-both sides capable of making big scores, both can be a bit up and down, will tip the visitors in an upset.
Sunshine v Mt Waverley-the Crows still looking for their first win, unfortunately they'll have to wait a bit longer.
Werribee v Yarra-might be time for Radford,Holmes and co to fire.the Tigers only seem to fire against the really strong sides so will go the Eagles in another tight one.
Overall a terrific round of games, let's hope for some ideal weather for a change.
My medal tip now would be S.Goodwin from Broady.
Best of luck to all.
PS Bucket Head, what's the go with Brunswick in your side, why the sudden improvement, have they spent up or done it with youth?

we played them in a praccy match at the start of the season without molloy and they looked terrible both batting and bowling... dont know how there up there.

Re: subbies season 07/08

oakleigh v bayswater - oakleigh will win with a leg in the air
willy box hill - willy comfortably, better side than what they won the champ final with and box hill dont have lazar this time around cuz his shopping for love.
melton v altona - confident our boys can get the win, hopefully win toss and bat first and make a score we can defend
croydon v broady - croydon in an upset, could be only a matter of time before broady drop a few
noble park v end hills - noble park will make too many, douthie 100
sunshine v mt waverly - mt waverly easy
werribee v yarraville - close game tipping werribee

Re: subbies season 07/08

Looking at your tips Dance Hero goes to show how hard it is to back a winner in this comp, perhaps next year Weapons or somebody could run a tipping comp, that would sort the men from the boys.
On another matter I take an interest on ex Subbies players feats in Premier cricket, has anyone noticed the recent efforts of ex Willy youngster Evan Gulbis?.has made some huge scores especially in the one dayers, could he be a chance for a Victorian jumper soon?,Weapons, did you coach him at Willy or before your time?

156 16 sixes must have mauled them.........id rather make 1 and we win rather than 1fiddy and lose.........hey must have been a small ground with both teams making over 300.........the kid won player of the year last year in england........watched gulbis in a 20/20 agaist footscray not too long ago made 40 in quick time agaist lindsay and hastings should have seen some of the shots he was playing to guys with some good pace..........freak

what about Divin that used to play at melton.........i can remember the name must be going alright getting a gig down tasy way.......

yeh huge effort last saturday, 159 off 111 balls with 15 6's, thats unheard of, isnt he only 21 as well?? i played in england a couple of years ago and last year the team i played for played against the team evan gulbis played for and they said it was rediculous the way he hit the ball, i think they said he got 11 50's or better in a row. he might not be far away from a big v gig
