Twas a great win Weapons.
The ones loss is very disappointing. C Smith only 2.3 overs again:confused:
We bowled ok but nothing special and Balwyn made 210.
We got off to a flier.
Mostly thanks to Cam D'Altera who got 65 off 57(run out at the bowlers end deflected off the bowler) he would have got a ton.
Then freeman 107 not out who has been a sensational player at subbies 2's level for a number of years now and Ben Davis the come back king got 41 not out and saw us home.
Great win that keeps us in the hunt for finals.

Dalton batted at 9 and made 6.
Must be a freak because that sends his season tally to 58 runs.
Run machine.

YWL,

While Sam Dalton hasn't made that many runs in the ones, they are probably that many more than what you have made in the ones for your club.

Walk the walk before you talk the talk.

I've played 1 game in the ones and got 3 not out. So that's only 40 less that Dalton has made. He is also playing for a lot weaker club than mine and i imagine it would be a lot easier to get into the Ormond middle order than the Williamstown middle order.
No one is on here pumping my tires up and saying how good i am and if they were they would be wrong because i haven't done anything to deserve it.
The same with Dalton IMO.
How many have you made in the ones P-Toe the anonymous scorer.

Re: subbies season 07/08 & 08/09

I just want to congradulate Travis Dean a former Werribee junior player and the winner of two Ist XI batting averages at the club who made his debut for Footscray Edgewater in the ones yesterday and made 91.
He is only 16 that boy and he will play for Australia.
Ormond boys how about you pump this fellar's tires' up.

c'mon anchorman - tell the thruth - BH have a hitlist a mile long! Dart is definitely on it and word is he is more than ready for a change!

Makes sense tho, BH is where lots of old Hawks go to die... I think Dart would look at another premier club first because he's still a star, but yep, I've heard he's ready for a change too...

How do you know that young fella????

Just the contrast in standards.
I believe D'Altera will go onto play district cricket in the next couple of years.
Shouldn't take him that long to make it into the 2's there.
That compared to the wonderful WDCA B turf level is a huge contrast.
Just an opinion to mate;)

Lol sounds funny as.
Williamstown are going have to improve significantly before finals if they are going to beat n e 1 in the top 4 let alone Melton.
Hope they do.
