I have been looking at the bowling figures for the comp and my son is getting extra overs .out 70 odd kids only 6 have more so i cant complain.
It is just the way the comp is so staggered to develop players in this order; batsmen then keepers followed by fielding and fast bowling. Spin bowling comes way last. Then they wonder where are all the young spinners are. I reckon i saw 2 good ones give up in 2 games this round. They were completely destroyed by our batting yet in round one they were unplayable. Not good.

but looking ahead to the next ashes in England and indeed the next in Australia...Boyce will hopefully be ready by then, as will Adil Rashid, and Smith will probably be playing a Cameron White esque role as an all rounder who can bowl some handy leggies, although i think his bowling can be a lot better than White's. All in all a reasonably bright future for leg spin in the Ashes I would say.
