Senior Division 10/11

Hello All,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good club around the Caulfield area? I'm an ex-sub district 1XI player and I'm looking to play with reasonably successful club but also just as importantly a reputation to have a good spirit of cricket? If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Hi Fedor.
Good clubs around the Caulfield area so you would have a few to choose from. I like the look of Bentleigh who have been around for over 100 years and are currently on top of the table. They have some good name players and are good blokes off the field (enjoy a beer after the game). They run a strong junior program and their facilities would be the best in the comp (this side of the yarra).
Hope this has helped.

Thank you very much for the advice life member and Im not Besha, though I wish I could hit the long ball like him. I have just moved into the area.

Spotswood is a great club close to the caulfield area, we'll it's a bit of a hike from caulfield to be honest, but still a great club nonetheless

Fedor it depends on what you are looking for in a club because they all have their strengths and weeknesses. Success? Facilities? Ground? Coach? Committee? Cash? Standard? Drinking culture? Family culture?

Maybe wait for the derelict opening bowler to retire down at Bentleigh before you head there.

Just looking for a club that will help me improve as a cricketer, coaching is very important to me. A professional outfit will hopefully get the best out of me. Thank you all for the fantastic advice.

G'day Fedor, travel down the highway to Parkdale and a Level 3 CA coach heads up the cricket on-field, off-field it's beer & skittles with good social scene. Intensity at training is fairly good with a number of past Premier/Grade/District level players trotting about with bat & ball. check out www.parkdalecc.com more than welcome to have a net any time you feel the need Tuesdays & Thurdays 6pm onwards

Bentleigh are certainly heading in the right direction, this year & beyond............
