Senior Division 10/11

Bentleigh are obviously favourites with runs on the board and the option to bat on for as long as they can, but I have a gut feeling that this game is far from over.

I would love to see Bentleigh win, but dont be surprised if YC give it a real shake.

Danny Law made one against the Australians when they toured UK in 97 I think - and I reckon he has a few more as well. Am I right Max??

Correct weight Rat'n'bat Law has 2 first class ton's and David Alleyne has 1, there may be a few more from some of the sri lankans floating around in the comp also.

RugMop you must excuse my poor use of the English language and also for such poor grammar, HOW DARE I ! only trying to point something out that's all , so if you dont mind let's stick to the cricket from now on eh ?

Gee Max... or should i say DLaw... talk about trying to put yourself out there hero....

For a person who wants to merely discuss cricket, you display a fine turn in personal insult. Is that how you think cricket should be played?

I didnt realize we were playing cricket ! what is wrong with you 2 blokes ? honestly get a life you nerds

Who needs to get a life D Law ? Maybe the bloke who comes on sprouting he has made a first class ton... pity you cant deliver that in snr div..

It's Bentleigh's to lose at this stage, they're certainly in the box seat. If they can bat through to the first drinks break or beyond, they will be closing in on 300+ and with a lot of rain around on the weekend it's very hard to see YCCC chasing that down. Will be interesting to see if YCCC come out and attack Roach or keep giving him singles so they attack the tailenders.

But well said ImparitalOnlooker. A few quick wickets will certainly change things. 250-275 and YCCC is certainly a chance, 300+ and I'd say very little chance. Should be a great weekend of cricket, let's hope the rain stays away.

I think the key to the game lies with how well McInnes bowls for Bentleigh. Another factor is the bowling of Hill, whose leggies routed YC when they played earlier in the season. If these two bowl well, Bentleigh may already have enough (big call, I know). As usual, catches will be vital. It's great to have the potential for an epic GF.

Fair call with Hill turning the ball away as Kerrigan did for South in round 3.
There is no rain forecast now for Sunday so we should have a great weekend of cricket.

A question i will put forward before the season ends is the points system being reduced from 49 to 46 points as suggested by the VTCA at the beginning of the season
if this is this case clubs who are offering ridiculous amounts of money (HC) may need to rethink there strategy to safeguard the loyal

Good days cricket at Murrumbeena setting up an fair days cricket tomorrow. YC needing a further 157 off 80 overs with 7 wickets in hand after dismissing Bentleigh for 299 and finishing the day 3 for 143. Proven GF performers Ion and O'Keefe at the crease.

Will be heading down there for a gander for sure!

And a great pitch

Well you couldn't get a much better grand final than that. It could easily have gone either way but in the end I spose it was YCCC with too much depth and the old premise of "catches win matches".
