Gca Player Movements 2011/2012

AT are going to have to go after a coach, especially when you consider no one officially applied for the position when it was advertised also heard that they will face a few departures and retirements...could be a long year for the vikings...

AT have always had very little depth and basically relyed on Benci

a bit

a bit like st peters and illingworth.....not sure if true or not but there where a few whispers that g/west were talking with illingworth a few months back, i wouldnt think he would actually leave st peters though?

I believe West approached Illingworth last season. He may regret what he missed out on, or live the dream this year with the Rams.

Any news from Bellarine ?

Heard Newcomb are looking for a coach to replace Light and Welsford has left Barwon Heads.

Any other recruits, new coaches, departures ?

apparently names the that the GCA haven't heard before.. i couldn't get a name off him. but i can only assume its from Wonthaggi area given BPH's history.

murmurings of BIG THINGS coming to BPH from out of town... replacing "Faulkhead, Hassett" have managed to keep Anderson, Cairns, Lindsay.

Hassett left prior to last season, you were not talking about Stacka, who may have retired ?? Lindsay might be coaching but I doubt he will have time to play with his full time coaching committments at one of the private schools on the weekend.

i completely forgot about Stacey.. word on him is that he will play the odd game in the 4ths at Torquay with his little brother.. i didn't say Lindsay would play, i said they've kept him (as coach which i also didn't mention). just wait for BPH's round 1 team and it may shed some light.

Who would be the early favourites for premierships in the divisions 1 and 2? Joeys and St Albans for me

I'd say Geelong West and Grovedale will be 1 & 2 at this stage followed by East Belmont and St Joseph's the winner will almost certainly come from that four.

Geelong City, Thomson and Newcomb & District as a smokey from Torquay and maybe Marshall to rise up the ladder.

Lethbridge and Corio from Teesdale. Lethbridge will be hard to beat again.

Surely East Belmont after using country week last year for their recruiting drive would have to be favorites.

Not sure how you could leave St Albans out in Div. 2?
