Vic 15's 2012-13

Who will make the cut for this years School boys team?

Blake Thomson & Ryan Quirk will no doubt make the squad, any other nominations?

Just from the west regions, Josh Trembearth and Adam Korsak might go close in the batting department. Also Aaron Austin and Jonah Koch with the ball. Just a couple of suggestions, but all four look a cut above. Not sure about the country regions though?

There is also a kid from the country by the name of Patrick Page JNR who had an outstanding carnival. And in following up on the last post, Josh Trembearth looks really solid and is handy with the pill, Adam Korsak has a great technique and all the shots, Aaron Austin bowls the quickest of a kids his age and Jonah Koch is a bit slower with the ball then Aaron Austin but is a genuine all rounder. Also Jack Gilbert as a Keeper. As I said these are just suggestions!

Patrick Page JNR played for SA in the School Boys last season. be interesting to see if he plays for Victoria this year.

Well the team has been picked:

Ryan Baker Sacred Heart Kyneton Central Highlands
Damon Egan Caulfield Grammar School South East Bayside Breakers
Zac Elliott Catholic College Bendigo Northern Rivers
Tyler Fowler Mortlake College Western Waves
Jack Gilbert Xavier College Inner South East Scorpions
Samuel Grimwade Melbourne Grammar School Inner South East Scorpions
Ryan Hartley Melbourne Grammar School Northern Rivers
Joshua Hudson Yarra Valley Grammar School Outer East Eagles
Jonah Koch Mackillop Catholic Regional College Western Spirit
Adam Korsak Maribyrnong College Western Spirit
Will Pucovski Brighton Grammar School South East Bayside Breakers
Ryan Quirk Alkira Secondary College Southern Pioneers
Blake Thomson St. Patrick’s College Ballarat Central Highlands
Overall looks a solid squad with a couple of surprise inclusions.
Pucovski, nice player already played a few games in the Melboune 2nd X1 as well as the other boys already previously mentioned in threads Korsak doing well in the Footscray 3rds and Koch having a decent year in he Footscray 4ths.
Patrick Page currently playing for the South Australian U/17's.
Quirk recently played for the Dandy 4ths, any more info on the other guys or thoughts would be good.

Who are the contenders in Hatch this year?
coburg have realy made an effort this year selecting 5 north west wizards from last year under 14 state championships sam karamoshou tom winchester aaron austin zac margariti and joshua trembearth who was unlucky to miss the vic 15s team also 3 gippsland power players isacc love coady mitrevski and macgregor davies plus zac elliott son of matthew he actually made the vic team plus another 4 kids who did well to fill the remaining 4 spots. if this side plays to there ability they will be very hard to beat

Coburg won the Hatch final today played at Brighton. They defeated Plenty Valley to remain undefeated in the competition.

You were correct. They never looked challenged. I still think Oakleigh would have given them their best match. Unfortunately they weren't up to making the finals. So hats off to Coburg brilliant job undefeated from those they played. The title will always read Coburg as 2013 Hatch Champions. It's a shame the two best sides never met.

if Oakleigh could't get to the quarter finals stage I struggle to see how they were the 2nd best side in it

without a doubt Patrick Page, at his new school in Adelaide the atmosphere will push him to the limit pogressing to the peak of his ability. Rostrevor College is where he is currently at being tested by great bowlers suck as Hayden Bigg and Ayden Mcgregor-Baptista. Those two could also be in the running for this years compitition.
