Honestly the experiences our team has had during the first half of the season have been less then a stellar showing for the league. Teams being disorganized and not providing the basics like scorers etc bar Preston druids and thomastown has been appalling and made it very hard to enjoy a game or park cricket with mates. Umpires running on and off the field wasting time teams blatantly cheating with balls going for boundaries and the lack of proper cricket etiquette during games from the bunch of people who clearly don't play any other form of cricket

For further reference we are in the north section 2 division of this league and it has been an absolute circus.

I wouldn't have believed you if you told me before the season. I honestly assumed since you pay for umpires that they are impartial and fair because they are doing a job but only 1 so far has been in control of the game and to no surprise he was a fairly old bloke . I'll name him so he gets the credit he deserves ... Danny Graham

I played a season. Whilst there was the sprinkling of good cricketers overall the standard was shit. Weather was cold and damp and we played through fairly inclement weather such that we were only rained off once.

Ultimately, it was useful to keep ticking over, but the standard was not good enough to challenge and it left me burnt out for the next summer season. Living south of Sydney I wouldn't recommend it. Its really for the absolute tragics, hence the "playing for sheep stations" approach.
