How sweet it was to see UN delegates walk out en masse before Netanyahus hate speech. This may now wake them to the fact that their insidious Zionist regime is now a world pariah.

When you really think about it both Netanyahu and Putin have a similar agenda for their countries and really are both alike.

Well said Craig!
It was great to see the Walkout on Netanyahu. That really annoyed him and he started slagging off those with a conscience. He's a right piece of works and the world, except the US, know he's a snake!
A genocidal war criminal who needs locking up!

Totally agree Zman,

Cruel Despotic Authoritarian similarities with barefaced lies about their war crimes,
which the world sees and will remember .
Meanwhile NATO tools up spurned by Russian drones and jets skipping in and out of NATO countries with Trump saying "Shoot them down!"
Well, That's a U turn from the gullible chosen Orange one's fatacisimns of a golden new word. Idiot!

I'm glad our Albo PM stood quietly firm on our stance on many issues. Our PBS System is non-negotiable.

My son aqrees with you Zman. Russia wants a return to its former Empire and hard line Zionists want their long dreamed of Greater Israel encompassing Iran, Syria, Iraq and all Palestinian land. They want it all.

He has back flipped on a Republican referendum he pledged in his second term. No doubt he did not say first term at the time as he did not expect to be re elected. Touch sneaky and unusual as Labor has mostly been pro Republican.

I think there's other factors too Craig. So many like Trump decry Global Warming but Charles is very Green on the subject to Trump's ire perhaps. Donald is in Awe of the Royals so ... ?
I heard it say often that Trump is influenced most by the last person/s he spoke to. Dummy!

Also, the increasing threat of Putin's rancid Russia to Europe where mutual solidarity is very important with even Canada and our Australia, in step with the Coalition of the Willing.
So, not rocking the Federation boat is back on the back burner. It'll happen one day?

We in WA had a public holiday today celebrating our King Charles's birthday. Sorry to rub the salt in Craig. 😁

We used to take day off for Queen Liz birthday, not sure we are doing same for King Charlie. May be a sign of finally cutting the apron strings.

Makes sense to me, how can we keep celebrating a dead monarch's birthday when they're not alive anymore?

What are the odds Trump's 20 point PEACE plan for Gaza will succeed?
Personally I dislike him boasting about things he's gunna do. One of my billiards' buddies is like that. It's vulgar and he cheats too.
It's a braggart's stupid and off putting juvenile self aggrandisement!
"The greatest peace plan in all history!" he boasted, and Netanyahu smirks knowing it may well fail giving him TACO Trump's blessing to "Finish the JOB", carte blanche!

With the threatened oblivion of Gaza city the fragile survivors there have to evacuate to escape the promised Holocaust, or suffer the consequences. More bodies buried in blasted rubble no doubt.
Unfortunately there's hardly any where to go, and worse are those too old, sick, staving, penniless, injured, ... to even contemplate an escape. Collateral damage indeed. More like deliberate Genocidal slaughter upon the weakest.

Even sailing humanitarians with aid for the beleaguered Gazians are attacked, bombed, kidnapped, imprisoned in international waters. Even past instances of the Israeli navvy pirates murdering those with such altruistic notions.

What a wicked and violent part of the world endorsed and enabled by a boasting supposed Peace Maker. Isn't that the name of a big handgun? Dirty Harry's? Clint's other movies?
He could stop that war in a day by stop sending arms, intelligence and money to Israel, but lacks the moral courage to do so.... It's all so upside down. Lies, hidden agendas, lobbyists, quiet donations for favours, power brokers, Oligarchs, ... the Oil big money, ... 'drill baby drill' .... gifts and gains worth billions, ... "Good grief" said Charlie Brown mulching the last of his peanuts.
It's America going to hell using Trump's own phrase he spat at the Europeans. And all those huge tariff taxes his own gullible folk have to pay.
He's making America "Grate" again and possibly causing a US depression. And the loss of global respect for a once Noble USA now turning upon itself and its allies.
Que Sera Sera.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but ....not all of the people all of the time. Abraham Lincoln.

1Not heard if there is to be any Muslim/Arab involvement.
I don't think so as yet Craig. I heard many Arab States want to be involved like Qatar, Saudis, Egypt, Jordan, .. not Iran .
It seems a bit sketchy at the moment, but surely an Arab managed Gaza, along with billions of aid from the Rich Arab states sounds like a good plan. Many hurdles to jump though.

Some voices are saying it's not a Peace plan but just a Cease fire. Whatever, it doesn't stop Trump boasting about it as if it's all done, dusted and over.
It's fluid with Hamas to release all the prisoners (fair enough) and to surrender all their weapons which now they want to keep. Tony Blaire initially to run Gaza and now not?
Not sure if the supply trucks have been let into Gaza yet?
Rebuilding Gaza could take up to 20 years.

Also Israel won't give back the Palestinians' land stolen over 8 decades. "It's all our Land" I heard again yelled out by the land grabbers. The West Bank Palestinians tremble in their homes often attacked by marauding Jewish thugs which the IDF turn a blind eye to.

God knows how a fair settlement can be reached, I wish those poor Palestinians what is rightfully theirs, including Statehood. What has been entrenched though is a strong intergenerational hatred of Israel by the Gazian survivors.
Just like in my old Northern Ireland where religious bigotry has endured for at least 300 years.
And Israel has trashed its global reputation too, seen now by many as a Pariah state.

The Zionists are now patting themselves on the back by saying we are now having those humanitarian aid trucks moved to areas where they are most needed. Those trucks stood idle for months while Palestinians starved.😡

Agreed totally.

A lot of those malnourished children will suffer physiological and psychological damage into adulthood, if they make it that far.

I saw a tv report that said the Israelis destroyed 192,000 buildings in the 4-year war on the Gaza strip. What sort of home are these kids going to grow up in?

Very funny Zman. I liked the 3rd one best with the singing.
I just shared that one with over a dozen friends and family..

The greatest Peace Maker in all History, aka Donald Trump.
Of course he boasts, but I take my hat off to what he has just achieved. It's certainly not over yet and could still fail.

I was also impressed by his speech to the Israeli Knesset parliament. He looked tired getting off his plane but came alive with a long speech which he seemed to do ad lib without notes or teleprompter. I was impressed.

Just saying, I know what a flogger and boaster he is, but I thought his Knesset speech was one of his very best, oratorically wise with a historical perspective.
He may well get his Peace Prize next time.

Meanwhile IDF are still killing Palestinians and Hamas don't want to surrender their arms, nor flee.
Worse is the internal chaos within Gaza as rival gangs fight it out for supremacy in that dog eat dog culture engended by Israel and the US being complicit in the Genocide atrocities.

Israel-Palestine / Gaza-Hamas latest

What’s happening now:
  • There’s been a ceasefire / truce deal in place between Israel and Hamas, brokered by the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, etc.
  • As part of that, hostages are being exchanged: Hamas released the last 20 living Israeli hostages; Israel released many Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
  • Also, Israel has released bodies of Palestinians killed during the conflict back to Gaza.
  • Aid flow into Gaza has started to pick up under the deal, though there are still big concerns: border crossings (like Rafah) being closed or limited, logistics, damage to infrastructure, displacement, civilian casualties etc.
Key tensions / what’s uncertain:
  • Whether the ceasefire holds long term. Truces in this conflict tend to be fragile, often collapsing under pressure from incidents, disagreement over terms, or violations.
  • What "withdrawal" from Gaza means in practice (territorial control, security arrangements). Development of Gaza’s governance, Hamas’s role (disarmament vs. inclusion) etc., remain contentious.
  • Humanitarian crisis is severe: damage to infrastructure, shortages of medical supplies, food, water; displacement remains huge. Rebuilding will take a lot. Many civilians have been harmed.
Where things might go:
  • If the truce holds, possibility of incremental humanitarian relief, reconstruction, more formal negotiations about what Gaza looks like post-war.
  • International pressure (human rights groups, foreign governments) may force more transparency, or influence restraining certain actions.
  • But potential flare-ups if one side feels the other isn’t respecting terms (hostage returns, prisoner releases, access for aid).

Excellent post and read Zman. Very informative.👍

Those potential flare-ups seem to be happening already with Hamas having difficulty retrieving the bodies of dead Hostages which I think some are still buried under rubble from IDF bombs, and Israel still shooting wandering Palestinians.
Then again, how would Israel react if some of their returned dead hostages showed signs of torture or murder. Not that the Israelites can take the high ground on that score given their own woeful treatment of their many, un-judged incarcerated Palestinians. Even seeing their callous treatment of Gazian bound humanitarian aid boat crews.

Sadly, I think the Greatest Ever Peace Treaty is already starting to unwind. I wasn't optimistic, but already?
Still, at least all the living hostages were exchanged for many freed Palestinian prisoners.

Sadly neither side seems able to restrain themselves, to their own detriment. Silly billies! Worse than my Ulster by far.

Australia's former ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma says Trump was able to achieve a breakthrough peace agreement because he mastered the language of conflict and earned begrudging respect from both sides.

"I think he's got respect and authority in the Middle East. All sides have a level of trust in him, that he will do what he says, he will stick by his word, enforce his will if it's tested," Sharma said.

May be correct to a point but Hamas the militant guardian of the Palestinian people is not about to disarm without assurances of a total end to the genocide. So Trump to save face has produced the big stick threatening Hamas with total annihilation if they dont surrender their weapons. This Mr Sharma is the Trump form of diplomacy.
