The Lounge 2

Jeez I hope not mate. I did a dumb thing staying married for our sons sake. I knew after about 5 yrs I had picked the wrong life partner.
Me too Craig, we also grew apart as time went by.
After 20 years of Marriage she ran off with her cousin's husband who was a Baptist Pastor.
I was stunned at first but later realised it was a good outcome for me. We even parted amicably but I still remain disdainful of the hypocrite Pastor. His ex wife was furious with him! The Godly couple moved to Northern Queensland very far away from Perth.

I managed a clever trick yesterday, slipped on our lower decking and tumbled onto concrete pavers. Luckily I managed to roll before I face planted and avoided worse damage other than a bruised vertebrae and assorted scrapes and bruises. Stiff and plenty sore this morning.

A clever energy idea.
But they would still be a visual pollution which the Bavarians complain about referring to wind turbines. Rather made for export than widespread use at home, I'd assume.

Will you be careful mate! Get better soon. What made you slip? Knowing that will help you prevent it in future.

Lost one of my flip flops (thong) as I descended the steps while going to throw ball to my pup. Quick thinking and a dose of luck thats for sure. Before Christmas my wife tripped while walking the pup and she did face plant the footpath. She was lucky too, nothing broken except a few front teeth.

"A few" sounds like a bit of dental work and someone having to foot the bill. Thongs are no good to blokes at our age. Admit I never liked them because of the toe strap. Could never walk in them and it seems I'm not the only one.🤣
Order of the day: get some reasonable footwear appropriate for us geezers.:D

I've had a few falls since sixty. It's something we need to be more cautious of as we age. Serious injury in us oldies from falls can be even lead to death. It's fairly common, too common. Beware those thongs Craig.

I used to get up on my roof to service my evap cooler and clean the gutters. Too dangerous for me now being not as sure footed as I once was. I pay others to do those chores now. I've got a two step indoor ladder and a large outdoor one which I use with caution. Light bulbs 💡 need changing.

I've even been putting grab handles in my bathroom where I once had a bad fall. C'est la vie! At least it was only a cut and bruised skull. I've a thick skull thankfully.

Each end of the handle has 4 big anchoring screws and a savvy mate suggested I drill holes slightly splawed for a solid fit. That made sense and I did it.
